Registration for next Fall will most likely open on June15th or 16th, if all goes according to plan. We will release more information regarding time and date that it will open once we ensure that all of the updates are entered correctly into our registration system.
We have listed the most important items below for you:
If you do not check your email, you will likely miss updates. Please take the time to ensure that your contact information is up to date.
We operate a Wait List Registration.
- This means that you do not pay up front.
- You have to fully check out your shopping cart at $0.00 and get a confirmation that you completed the wait list registration in order to be on the list.
- If you leave a wait list registration in your cart and you do not check out completely, this means that you did not fully register for the wait list.
- When your player is released, payment is due within five calendar days. If you do not pay, or if you do not notify us in an email that you need an extension, your order will be canceled on the sixth calendar day from the date of release for payment.
Volunteer Coaches, Assistant Coaches, and Referees:
- If we do not have enough volunteers for these roles, players will not be released to teams. This includes Referees.
- The children of volunteer Coaches and Referees that sign up and complete their certifications will be released first, with priority placement on teams. If the certification process is not completed, the player does not get priority placement. We will use the time stamp from the wait list for placement if an adult signs up to volunteer but does not actually volunteer.
- AYSO offers several comprehensive layers of certification education for coaches and referees. If you want your children to play, please don't let "I've never played soccer", or "I don't know anything about the rules" be the reason that you don't try. We have educators and a program that is free to you (other than an investment of your time), and we have administrators and peer coaches and referees to support you through the season.
-Please don't wait for someone else to volunteer. The sooner you sign up, the faster we can get teams formed and ready to go in August. Take the leap!
AGE DETERMINATION:
AYSO, and all of youth soccer, has changed the divisional age structure. We have no control over this, and we will be adhering to this structure. Requests to move to another division are not being accepted at all this year. This is a national change, and every youth soccer program, including club, has been given these mandates. Please look at this chart carefully:
The only exception to this rule will be 15u/19u soccer, if we have a 15u division. Placement will be determined by grade level, as some players will be in 9th grade and may be playing for a high school team for half of the year. We will evaluate this when the time comes. Players that participated in HS soccer cannot play for an AYSO team at the same time. If your player will be a freshman and they were born in 2012, please sign them up for 19U.
We do not have any odd-numbered divisions besides 15U at this time. Divisions are combined into even-year divisions. Example : 5u+6u=6u, 9u+10u=10u
AYSO AGE GROUPS STARTING FALL 2026 SEASON
GAMES AND PRACTICES
- Our area is likely converting to a 2 practices, 1 game format (1 practice, 1 game for lower divisions).
IF THIS HAPPENS:
- Games will be on the weekends. We do not have timeslots at this time. We do not know if times will be dedicated for divisions, or if they will be allocated based on field and referee availability.
- This is the standard model for all of AYSO and for most clubs across the country.
- We are still waiting for details regarding the number of games that will be guaranteed
- We are already working on opportunities for scrimmages for teams that would like to incorporate them
- This model encourages player development over only playing games, and allows families some breathing room in their very busy lives.
- Again, we do not control these regulations, but we will always work with our certified coaches to allow for the best development that we can provide to the children who play in our region.
- This regulation will apply to all regions that we compete with in our area, and it is in-line with what the rest of AYSO across the country does for their program.
- We will have a Regional attendance policy, as well. While we are required to play anyone that is on a team for 50% of the game, we are not required to play them for more than that. If players do not attend practices, they can expect to play no more than half of the game.
- If this structure is not what you want, we encourage you to explore other programs to see if you can find one that meets your expectations. We will still be here if you decide to stick with us!
That's it for now- more to come, and we will alert you with the timing of registration opening. The wait list will fill up very quickly!
Respectfully,
AYSO 673 Administration
